The Factories Department, Govt. of Tripura on March 19, 2026, notified regarding the Grant of Paid Holiday to Employees on the day of Poll on April 09, 2026.
The following has been stated:
• The Election Commission of India has scheduled the bye-election for 56-Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency (Tripura) on April 09, 2026, to fill a vacancy.
• As per Section 135B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, employers shall grant a paid holiday to employees in the concerned constituency on polling day.
• Authorities are requested to ensure compliance so that all eligible voters can exercise their voting rights.
